Where I was 4 years ago. I was working full time in a garage in Leeds when something life changing happend. I had a heart attack ............................. I was in hospital for 2 weeks, in this time i had seen many doctors looking at me. By The End of my time in hospital the doctors had told me that I would have to take it easy and for the long term stop doing what I was doing in the way of my job. So that was it as I saw it my life was over. I could not work and were was I to turn. The first step was to get my head round it and make a start to rebuild my life.
So could i turn my hobby into a business, I love taking photographs of landscape, buildings still life's . I think a can ....................................... I had an idea to take photographs of a new footbridge which had been build in my home town of Castleford.
With these photographs i would make calendars, keyring, postcard, for sale on the bridge or a market stall I set up. i sold a lot of stock, got myself in the local press time and time again , i had a galley purposely opened to show of my work and telephone orders start to come in. Shortly after i found that Wakefield College offered a course in commercial photography which was the first of its kind to bring photography and business together. So this is were i am now, my life is on the up and i`am starting to build my professional skills day by day. I would like to invite you to comment on my developments and critically measure me against real world demands.
